Accidental Texan
Chrissy spent four weeks on Accidental Texan as Carrie-Anne Moss’s stand-in, working alongside a cast that included Thomas Haden Church, Rudy Pankow, and Bruce Dern. Directed by Mark Bristol with cinematography by Matt Wise, the experience offered an invaluable, up-close look at the collaborative process behind a feature film. This experience ignited Chrissy's love for the filmmaking process.
A Man Goes On A Killing Spree
A Man Goes on a Killing Spree marked Chrissy Peterson’s first speaking role on screen. She appeared in a strong supporting role in the independent feature, directed by Jesse Kane, which later received a release on Amazon Prime Video.
Not A Hero
Not a Hero was the first short film Chrissy booked and her first leading role. Filmed over the course of a week in Humboldt County, the experience also gave her the opportunity to mentor the younger actresses on set. The film went on to enjoy an extensive festival run and remains one of Chrissy’s most treasured filmmaking memories.
Prior Bad Acts
In the short film Prior Bad Acts, Chrissy co-led as a sharp, ambitious attorney navigating a high-stakes legal world. The role gave her the opportunity to embody a powerful, intelligent woman with equal parts confidence, drive, and complexity.
Identity Swap
In Identity Swap, Chrissy co-led the short in her first femme fatale role. The project allowed her to explore a darker, more seductive character while balancing confidence, mystery, and danger.
It's A Match
Directed by Dean Stavros, It’s a Match is a compact thriller exploring the hidden dangers of dating apps when an online connection goes terribly wrong. Though brief, the film delivers a sharp and timely message about trust in the digital age.
Don't Follow Alice
Don’t Follow Alice follows an ultra-conservative man who leaves the Bible Belt for San Francisco, where his pursuit of journalism draws him into the city’s underground club scene. Chrissy appears in a strong supporting role as Priya, a character she had the opportunity to explore in depth throughout the ambitious feature production. The film premieres this October at Oakland’s historic Grand Lake Theatre.
You, Me, And Our Shadows
Written and directed by Dom, You, Me, and Our Shadows is a comedic short about the thoughts people keep hidden, brought to life by their outspoken “shadows.” Chrissy co-led the film alongside Chris Hinton, whom she met on set and would later partner with in production. The film’s clever concept, humor, and heart made a lasting impact far beyond its short runtime.
Roan Creek
Written and directed by Alyix Phillips, Roan Creek stars Chrissy as Rose, a nurse shaped by a troubled childhood and far more layered than she first appears. The feature challenged Chrissy both emotionally and physically through extensive stunt work, fight choreography, and even a run through a freezing creek. It remains one of her most exciting and rewarding creative experiences.
You, Me, And Our Shadows (Cont.)
This continuation of You, Me, and Our Shadows brought Chrissy back to the playful world of outspoken inner thoughts and the people trying to contain them. Returning to the story and bringing the “shadows” back to life is always an absolute joy.
Synthetic Hope
Written and directed by Chris Hinton, Synthetic Hope is Overdrive Studios’ first proof of concept and a particularly special project for Chrissy. Leading the film as Virus, she stepped into a bold, Lara Croft-inspired action role and fired a blank-firing prop weapon on set for the first time. The experience allowed her to bring an ultimate badass heroine to life alongside her business partner and creative collaborator.
Marked
Currently in production, Marked is Overdrive Studios’ first short film, produced in association with Silver Lining Productions. Chrissy joined the project midway through filming as a producer while continuing in the supporting role of Elena. She has loved bringing the character to life through action-packed scenes and exciting stunt work, including firing a prop weapon while hanging outside of a car.
You Were Kind To Me
In You Were Kind to Me, Chrissy co-leads as Lucy, who attends the book signing of an old high school classmate and discovers that her kindness during a difficult time helped him keep going and ultimately inspired him to write. Chrissy loved bringing this heartfelt story about the lasting power of compassion to life.
Vox
Directed by Alyix Phillips, Vox is a fast-paced detective drama starring Chrissy alongside Lynzie Laviano, whom she loved working with. Chrissy plays Cassandra Maverick, a sharp and unapologetically spirited legacy detective determined to make her own name while following in the formidable footsteps of her celebrated detective parents.
Run Now
Directed by Austen Paul, Run Now is a hyper-stylized action-comedy proof of concept blending neo-noir crime, surreal humor, and comic-book visuals. Chrissy appears as Red, a stylish, ruthless, and slightly unhinged henchwoman who brings attitude, danger, and a bold splash of color to the film’s bizarre criminal world.
